Faulkner & King, PSC, founded in 1984 by Harvey K. Faulkner and Joseph C. King, has a rich history rooted in providing exceptional accounting services. Originally a satellite office of Potter & Company, a regional accounting firm based in Lexington, Kentucky, the Mt. Sterling office opened in the 1960s and transitioned into Faulkner & King in 1984. Today, the firm operates as Faulkner, King, and Wenz, PSC, boasting a team of 12 highly skilled and degreed accountants, including eight Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).

As a member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs, including the AICPA’s Audit Quality Centers for Employee Benefit Plans and Governmental Audits, our firm upholds the highest professional standards. Membership requirements include an average of over 40 hours of continuing professional education per year for each professional employee, ensuring our team stays up-to-date with the latest industry developments.

Additionally, we undergo a “peer review” every three years by an independent outside firm. Since the inception of the Peer Review Program in 1990, Faulkner, King & Wenz, PSC has completed all peer reviews, consistently receiving unqualified opinions. We also extend our expertise by providing peer review services to other accounting firms, having performed over 450 peer reviews since 1990. Faulkner, King & Wenz, PSC primarily serves Central and Eastern Kentucky clients.
