Joseph C. King, CPA

Joe began his career in 1975 with the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) in Lexington. He later joined Potter & Company in 1981 and became a shareholder in Faulkner & King in 1984. Joe is in charge of the accounting and auditing function for the firm, and also serves numerous business and individual income tax clients. He has conducted over 450 peer reviews on auditing and accounting practices of other CPA firms. Joe is a past president of the Bluegrass Chapter of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and has served on the Board of Directors and Society’s Executive Committee of the Kentucky Society of CPAs. He has been a member of several KYCPA committees, including serving as Chair of the Peer Review Committee. Joe and his wife, Lynn Ann reside in Mount Sterling and have two children and three grandchildren.


John M. Wenz, CPA

John began his accounting career in 1978 with Potter & Company and continued with Faulkner & King in 1984. In 1988, he was admitted into the firm as a shareholder. John has substantial experience in a variety of tax and financial statement areas, including construction, auto dealers, retail and wholesale, personal financial statements, and nonprofit organizations. He is active in civic organizations and has held various officer and director positions. John is a past President of the Bluegrass Chapter of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and has served on the Society’s Peer Review Committee. John and his wife, Vicki reside in Mount Sterling and have two children and four grandchildren.


Kevin Romenesko, CPA

Kevin began his career in 1984 with the Wipfli CPA group in Wisconsin after graduating from the University of Wisconsin. He first joined our firm in 1986 and was a shareholder from 1993-2008. Kevin worked in the private sector as a chief financial officer from 2008 to 2015. He returned to our firm as a shareholder in 2015. He has substantial experience in a variety of tax and financial statement areas, including manufacturing, retail and wholesale, governmental entities, and nonprofit organizations. Kevin and his wife Sandy reside in Mount Sterling. They have three children and six grandchildren.


Karen S. Trent, CPA

Karen joined the firm in 2000 and became a shareholder in 2015. Karen currently serves on the Kentucky Society of CPA’s Professional Ethics Committee. Her experience includes tax planning, preparation, research for individuals, partnerships, and other businesses, as well as audit services for financial institutions and construction contractors. Karen and her husband Doug reside in Mount Sterling and have one daughter.


Eugene C. “Dusty” Weathers, III, CPA

Dusty joined the firm in 1992 and became a shareholder in 2015. His experience includes planning, preparation, and research for individuals, partnerships, and other businesses, as well as audit services for financial institutions, manufacturing, retail and wholesale entities, and other general accounting services. Dusty and his wife, Shelley reside in Mount Sterling, they have two children.
